CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

HR Manager

Reporting to the CFO, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our human resources function, including onboarding/offboarding, shaping the organisation culture set by the Executive Leadership Team, providing advice to internal stakeholders and ensuring the Company’s compliance with all relevant workplace laws and regulations with support from external experts and advisors.

Key Duties
  • Supporting and coordinating the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Preparation and issuing of employment documents including contracts, position descriptions, termination letters and the like.
  • Actively participate in disciplinary and performance management processes.
  • Manage terminations and exit interviews.
  • Supporting Managers and Supervisors with general HR advice.
  • Assist with employee enquiries and concerns in conjunction with Management.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships, and seeking the advice of the Company’s lawyers, external consultants and advisors on HR matters as needed.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with all relevant workplace legislation, regulations and awards, providing advice of pending changes and the potential impacts.
  • Providing advice and guidance to Managers and Supervisors in relation to awards, regulations, and policies.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with workplace laws, regulations and business objectives.
  • Reporting HR KPIs and statistics on a monthly basis.

Safety Coordinator

Working in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Safety and Compliance Manager, this role involves supporting a breadth of health, safety and wellbeing administration.  

Key Duties
  • Partner with relevant Business Units in understanding and achieving their responsibilities for health, safety, wellbeing, workers compensation and rehabilitation.
  • Partner with business units to develop safety targets and KPI’s and support the development and implementation of strategies to achieve those targets.
  • Make recommendations to improve safety culture within the workplace.
  • Develop and promote wellbeing initiatives across relevant business units, ensuring alignment to whole of business strategy and initiatives.
  • Undertake investigations as required to identify root cause and potential resolutions.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports that demonstrate our safety performance metrics and provide insights/trends (inclusive of team member and customer incidents)
  • Ensure centralised recording of reported incidents/injuries/hazards/risk statistics whilst providing corrective action advice to all reported injuries.
  • Coordinating the completion of the business’s safety calendar activities
Business & Marketing Support Officer

Due to continued growth, Barker Trailers would like to introduce to the organisation a self-motivated, energetic, customer centric, front-of-house professional, with solid administration, marketing, and desktop publishing skills, with an eye for detail, as an integral member of the team, with a wide range of responsibilities. 

Key Duties
  • Managing the service desk, including answering the phone, assisting customers, and responding to initial email inquiries.
  • Provide general administration support for the Managing Director and Executive Team, including preparation of management papers,  travel booking, meeting arrangements.
  • Office management and general administration
  • Ongoing maintenance of company website and social media platforms.
  • Content creation, both print & online for internal and external communication. 
  • Ongoing (CSS) Customer Service Satisfaction Surveys & reporting 
  • Event administrative – both internal & external.
  • Identify and implement new processes and procedures.
